Winfield A Lohr

Winfield A. Lohr, 76, of Abbeville, SC, husband of Gloria Robinson Lohr, died Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his home.  He was born in High Point, NC to the late Albert Elroy and Margaret Clough Lohr.  

A 1965 graduate of Trinity High School, Trinity, NC, Mr. Lohr served his country in the NC National Guard.  He devoted 15 years of his life to dairy farming and also worked for Mercer Transportation.  Mr. Lohr was known for his skills in woodworking - owning his own casket shop, his enthusiasm for old cars and above all, his deep faith in Jesus Christ.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Belton, SC.  Mr. Lohr leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith and kindness and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeremiah James Lohr.

Mr. Lohr is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria, of the home; two sons, Thomas Lohr (Irene) of Abbeville, SC and Christopher Lohr (Jessica) of Laurens, SC; a daughter, Audra Hill (Scott) of Archdale, NC; a brother, Edward Lohr (Denise) of Trinity, NC; a sister, Margaret Ann McCreary of Abbeville, SC; seven grandchildren, David, Eve, Daniel, Adam, Beth, Marc and Dannielle; and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:00PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in First Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Tracy Clements officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
