Wayne Stevens

Homer Wayne Stevens, 77, of Hodges, husband of Vickie Dixon Stevens, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. He was born in Greenwood to the late Homer Ted Stevens and Ruby Butler Stevens.

For 30 years, Wayne was the owner and operator of Stevens Painting, where his craftsmanship earned him the respect of many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Stevens.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vickie, of the home; son, Billy Wayne Stevens; grandson, Thomas Wayne Stevens, who was reared in the home; daughter, Wanda Kay Nelms of Missouri; brother, Jerry (Bobbie) Stevens; sister, Gail (David) Bellany; and his beloved nephews, Scott, David and Cody Stevens.
