Vivian Pruitt Creswell

Vivian Pruitt Culbreth Creswell, 90, of the Level Land Community, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at her home. She was born in Level Land to the late Guy Haskell and Alma Ashley Pruitt.

Vivian began her career at Bankers Trust, where she was trained by her sister, Mary. She continued her professional advancement with SCN/Wachovia. Later, she completed her career at Palmetto Bank before embracing a well-deserved retirement after 47 years. She was also a devoted member of Little River Baptist Church. Anyone who knew her, knew that her love for Christ was unfaltering and endless.

Vivian cherished her children, grandchildren, and her precious great grandchildren, whose singing always brought her joy. Known for her storytelling, she delighted in sharing tales of her childhood. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, as she joyfully decorated her home to welcome the community. Her passion for decorating, love of flowers, enthusiasm for outdoor adventures, and pontoon rides on the lake were well-known.

Vivian’s compassion extended to animals, especially her cherished pets, Annie and Baby. Her home was a sanctuary for all creatures needing care. Vivian will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and indelible impact on all who knew her.

Mrs. Creswell was twice married, first to the late Francis Rayford Culbreth and then to the late Joe Buddy Creswell.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Pruitt Pearman and her husband James F. ‘Buck’ Pearman; and a brother, Rev. Willis Pruitt, Sr. and his wife Marquerite, and nephews, John Haskell Pruit and Willis Pruitt Jr.

Vivian is survived by her children, Gwen Culbreth Prince (Robbie) and Kent Culbreth (Joyce); grandchildren, Eric Prince (Olivia), Blake Prince (Hannah), and five great-grandchildren, Emma Prince, Emerson Prince, Charlie Prince, Aubree Satterfield, and Bryson Shepard.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00PM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Little River Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:30PM in Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Garrett Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
