Tommy H Pittard Sr.

Tommy Harold Pittard, Sr. of Calhoun Falls, 73, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Sheryl Snead Pittard, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home. He was born in Greenwood to the late Milton Howell and Sara Eloise Dodd Pittard.

Mr. Pittard attended Calhoun Falls High School and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Employed as a paramedic for 35 years, he was associated with the Calhoun Falls EMS, Greenwood EMS and Greenwood Home Health, McCormick EMS, Medshore – Anderson and Elberton EMS. Mr. Pittard enjoyed riding motorcycles and writing articles for motorcycle and other magazines. He also took pictures of local events and shared those with communities throughout the Southeast. Mr. Pittard was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Frances Ivester and a nephew, Jimmy Ivester.

Mr. Pittard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sheryl; a son, Tommy Harold Pittard, Jr. of Due West; three daughters, Donna Lyerly (boyfriend, Bryan) of Due West, Rebecca Bufford of Largo, FL and Rachel Pittard (fiancé, Randy King) ; and five grandsons, David James ‘DJ’ Lyerly, Tommy Harold ‘Harry’ Pittard, III, Douglas Martin Pittard, Ashur Ferqueron and Raiden King.

The family will receive friends 5:00PM – 7:00PM, Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel with Rev. Dennis Reynolds and Rev. Jay Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
