Thomas Lee Wideman

Thomas Lee Wideman, 83, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare. Cherished husband of the late Viola Price Wideman, Thomas was born in McCormick to the late Ralph Marion and Maggie Mae Turnage Wideman.

A proud 1961 graduate of McCormick High School, he devotedly served Greenwood Mills for 48 years before retirement. As a member of Whitehall Church of God, Thomas found comfort and joy in playing gospel music on his guitar.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the peace he brought to those around him.

In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas Lee was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Wideman; six siblings, Ralph M. Wideman, Jr., Lorene Whitfield, James Leonard Wideman, Shirley Lowery, Patrick Wideman and Charles Wideman.

Thomas Lee is survived by his son, Anthony Wideman; three siblings, Curtis Wideman, Ricky Wideman (Frances), and Elizabeth Brock (Larry); a grandson, Anthony Jacob Wideman and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Noel Wideman.

A service to celebrate the life of Thomas Lee will be 6:00PM, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Restoration Ministries, 2507 US-25, Greenwood, SC 29646 with Pastor Kenneth Rabon and Rev. Matt Brown officiating.
