Thomas "Tommy" Giles

Thomas "Tommy" Giles, Jr., 68, resident of 43 Woodview Apts. husband of Shirley Giles passed away Tuesday Feb. 17, 2009 at his residence.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late Thomas, Sr. and Lillian Little Giles.

Tommy was a retired self employed mechanic and a member of Bells United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a loving father and brother and will be missed by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Scott Giles of Abbeville, SC; 2 sons, Michael Thomas Giles and Billy Ray Giles both of Beach Island, SC; 2 daughters, Tammy Giles of Jackson, SC and Dottie Giles of Beach Island, SC; 2 brothers, Frankie Giles of Honea Path, SC and Jimmy Giles of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister, Barbara Jean Fisher of Abbeville, SC; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Feb. 19, 2009 at Chandler Chapel in Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. The burial will follow in Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Tommy is at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM Thursday afternoon prior to services.
