Christopher Scott McCurry 52, of Anderson, SC, died Monday, April 20, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC. He was born December 6, 1973 in Greenwood, SC to Don McCurry and Susan Dickerson Bowen.

Scott graduated from Crescent High School. He was employed in the roofing industry as an estimator and foreman with the former Coes Roofing. In his youth, his grandfather taught him to be an accomplished welder where he made and sold utility trailers. Scott enjoyed watching football and was of the Wesleyan faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Blake McCurry; his paternal grandparents, Melvin Ray ‘Buck’ and Novella McCurry; and his maternal grandparents, T.C. and Irene Dickerson.

Scott is survived by his father, Don McCurry, of Abbeville, SC; his mother, Susan Dickerson Bowen and her husband, Milton Bowen of Anderson, SC; and a nephew, Haden McCurry of Atlanta, GA.

Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, in First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Wiles officiating.
