Sara G. Simmons

Sara Rebecca Gosnell Simmons, 77, of Calhoun Falls, SC, died Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Gaffney, SC to the late Benton Woodrow Gosnell and Mildred Burdette Gosnell.

Sara worked many years in textiles with the J.P. Stevens Plant and later retired from Electrolux in Anderson. She adored her children and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gosnell and a sister, Mildred Ann Sease.

Surviving Ms. Simmons are her children, Todd Miller of Belton, SC, Krista Mobley (Michael) of Troy, SC and Rose Simmons of Gray Court, SC; three grandchildren, Haley Burton, Miley Jo Miller and Terra Brown; three great-grandchildren, Maple, Joziah and Ryker; her siblings, Sammie Gosnell of Calhoun Falls, SC and Teresa Lynn Baker of Hendersonville, NC.

A service to celebrate the life of Sara will be 3:00PM Tuesday, August 11, 2026 in the Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah St. Calhoun Falls, SC 29628.
