Sandy Bombay Burdette, 61, of Abbeville, wife of Jack Burdette, died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Cook, Minnesota to the late Kenneth Bombay and Shirley Porter Bombay.
Sandy was a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe and the Rainy River First Nations. She worshipped at Lowndesville Baptist Church. Sandy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Jack, of the home; five children, Travis J. Bombay of Reidville, SC, Samantha Bombay of Easley, SC, Johnathon Bombay of Abbeville, SC, Rene Burdette of Anderson, SC and Donavon Blumer of Minnesota; two brothers, Keith Porter of International Falls, Minnesota and Kenneth ‘SunnyMan’ Bombay of Ontario, Canada; four sisters, Fern, Teresa, Tracy, and Christine; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
