Sandra Elaine Torchia

Sandra Elaine Torchia, 61, resident of 209 Kaye Dr. Anderson, SC passed away Friday Sept. 6, 2013 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Born in Calhoun Falls, SC she was a daughter of the late Patrick Samuel Torchia, Sr. and Irene Hodges Torchia.

Sandra was a retired surgical technician at Anderson Area Medical Center Labor and Delivery Dept. Sandra loved spending time with her family and friends being known as one to never meet a stranger but the love and apple of her eye was her beloved grandson Matthew.

Survivors include a daughter Amy Torchia Mock of Augusta, Georgia; a grandson Matthew Shawn Johnson of Augusta, Georgia; one sister Carol Ann Hutto of Hephzibah, Georgia; one brother Patrick Torchia of Anderson, SC; a niece Angelina Torchia and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Sept. 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Hodges officiating. The burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday Sept. 8, 2013 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice
