Sandra Jean Phillips

Sandra Jean Phillips, 64, of Iva, wife of Robert Vincent Phillips, died Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. She was born in Camden, NJ to the late Anthony Stanley Goraj and Virgina Slaboda Goraj.

Sandra was a former employee at the AnMed Medical Center in the business office and member of First Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters; Anthony Goraj, Patty Kowal and Ann Marie McCulley.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert of the home; three children, Amanda Marie Phillips (Tim Jones) of Pensacola, FL, Robert George Phillips of Abbeville and Camden Michael Jones of Iva; four grandchildren, Clayton Rawson Phillips and Payden Katherine Phillips of Abbeville and Jax and Jace Jones of Pensacola, FL; and a sister, Linda ‘Lynn’ Wilson (Craig) of Anderson.

There will be a family memorial service 2:00PM on May 16, 2026, at First Creek Baptist Church. Inurnment will be in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sandra, may be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
