Ruth Seigler Vandiver

Ruth Seigler Vandiver, 87, of 725 Vandiver Road died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Brookside Nursing Center in Anderson.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Surviving are widower, Wallace D. Vandiver of the home; son, Allen Vandiver of the home; daughter, Olivia Reitz of Irmo; sister, Lillie Belle Gailey of Anderson; brother, Harold Seigler of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Milton and Maude Wooten Seigler. She was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Vandiver; a sister, Sarah Blair; and three brothers, Thomas Seigler, Joe Seigler and Jones Seigler.

Services are at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shiloh United Methodist Church by the Rev. Todd Davis; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
