Ruth Botts Brock, 91, of Troy, wife of the late Rev. Raymond W. Brock, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at home encircled by her loving family. She was born in Abbeville County, to the late William Capers and Ella Frances Cochran Botts.

A 1947 graduate of Abbeville High School, Mrs. Brock attended Lander College. While not in school during the summer, she was employed with Little River Electric Coop where she met her husband. Mrs. Brock was associated with DHEC in the bookkeeping and billing area of the Welfare Department and with the Department of Health in Decatur, Ga. She retired from Clemson University in 1991 as a secretary. A member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Abbeville, she was actively involved with the Lovely Lane Circle and Sunday School as long as her health permitted. The epitome of southern grace and hospitality, Mrs. Brock will be remembered as a lady who loved her Lord, her church and her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Mark Brock and a brother, Guy Botts.

Mrs. Brock is survived by her son, John Raymond Brock (Holly); daughter-in-law, Toni Brock all of Troy; two grandchildren, Baileigh Brock Rushton (Daniel) of Greenwood and Luke Brock; and one great-grandson, Matthew James Rushton.
