Rufus Allen Slay, 75, resident of 1233 Cambridge St. Ext. passed away Friday September 23, 2008 at his home.
Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late Steven Albert and Sallie Turman Slay.
He was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills.
Survivors include 3 brothers William F. Slay of Laurens, SC, Johnny K. Slay and his wife Carolyn of Greenwood, SC and Tommy L. Slay and his wife Susan of Abbeville, SC; 2 sisters Mary Helen Smith and Viola Smith and her husband Frank of Abbeville, SC.
Allen was preceded in death by 2 brothers Sam and James A. Slay and a sister Earline Richey.
The family is at their respective homes.
