Ruby Holmes Glenn

Ruby Holmes Glenn, 80, of 564 Sharon Church Road died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Hartwell, Ga., she was a retired textile employee with Burlington Mills and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Surviving are daughter, Pauline K. Stephens of Abbeville; sisters, Jessie Lou Madden and Florence Goldsmith, both of Hartwell, Ga.; and brothers, Thomas Holmes and Paul Holmes, both of Anderson.

She was the widow of Andrew Glenn and the daughter of the late Robert and Catie Carnes Holmes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert R. King; and a son, James R. King.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Lula, Ga.; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church before services.
