Roy Sanford Stamey, 70, resident of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Abbeville, passed away Jan. 8, 2012 in Hendersonville, NC.
Born in Abbeville County, SC, he was a son of the late Tom Stamey and Ellie Minor Stamey.
Survivors are: son, Rickey Stamey; a daughter, Jennifer S. Malone; his ex-wife and friend, Betty Stamey; and 5 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Long Cane Cemetery, with Rev. Marion Argo officiating.
Memorials in memory of Roy may be made to a charity of one's choice.
