Becky Hairston Alexander, 74, of Donalds, wife of Lonnie David Alexander, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her home. She was born in Greenwood to the late Carl Byron and Betty Spoone Hairston.

Becky dedicated many years of her life as an employee with the Harris Plant in Greenwood. She treasured spending time with her family, cherishing each moment shared. Among the things that brought Becky joy was raising chickens – an interest that reflected her connection to nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Jane Alexander; brother, Bruce Hairston; and sister, Julie English.

Becky is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lonnie, of the home; daughter, Christine Tafta (Pat) of Donalds; brother, Adam Hairston of Greenville; sister, Patti Loftis of Due West; and three grandchildren, Noah Tafta, Jamie Tafta and Nick Tafta.

Graveside services will be held 1:00PM, Monday, March 23, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ronnie Alexander officiating.
