Phillip D. Davenport

Phillip Dean Davenport, 84, of Greenwood, died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Ralph Washington Davenport, Jr and Ellen Iris Barton Davenport.

Mr. Davenport was a 1956 graduate of Abbeville High School where he played football. He retired from General Motors Corporation and was a surveyor. Mr. Davenport was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Dennis Davenport.

Surviving Mr. Davenport are his children; Phillip Gregory Davenport (Cheri) of Kentucky and Phyllis Dianne Hansford of Georgia; a sister, Dianne D. Scott of Calhoun Falls; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one nephew and three nieces.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM Monday, August 31, 2020 in Long Cane Cemetery.
