Ollie Lee Ferqueron

December 16, 1931 — June 12, 2019

Ollie Lee Ferqueron, 87, of Troy, husband of the late Carolyn Brown Ferqueron, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.  He was born in McCormick to the late Luther L. and Minnie Wideman Ferqueron.

Ollie honorably served his country in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.  He was employed with Milliken & Co. – McCormick Plant as a maintenance inspector and retired after 46 years of dedicated service.  Ollie was a member and elder of Lower Long Cane ARP Church.  He was also a life time member and past master of Stonewall Masonic Lodge #124.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Wall, Jeanette Mann, Betty Ferqueron, Minnie Magadeline Ferqueron; and a brother, Roy Ferqueron.

Ollie is survived by his son, Ronnie Ferqueron of Troy; two sisters, Peggy Royston and Doris Brown, both of Greenwood; a brother, Ray Ferqueron of Greenwood; and a grand-daughter, Kayla Ferqueron of Troy.

A service to celebrate Ollie’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Ollie, may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
