Nelson Mcgaha

Nelson McGaha, 73, of Donalds, husband of Nancy Strawhorn McGaha, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Abbeville to the late Vernon and Helen Haynes McGaha.
A 1967 graduate of Dixie High School, Nelson received a Master Electrician degree from Piedmont Technical College. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Nelson began his career at Maxxim Medical in Honea Path and retired from Piedmont Technical College as a maintenance supervisor.
A member of the Abbeville County Cattleman’s Association, he enjoyed spending time on the farm working his cattle. Nelson was a Mason, Hejaz Shriner and of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nancy; brother, Don McGaha (Clare) of Ware Shoals; sister, Rosa Pruitt of Donalds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services will be private.
