Michael Alexander McMinn, 22, of Belton, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born in Anderson, SC, on July 20, 2001, the son of Rev. Michael Allen McMinn, Jr. and Martha Carter McMinn.  He was a cherished member of his community, known for his warm and caring nature.

Alex grew up in a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of love and kindness that he would carry with him throughout his life. He attended Calhoun Falls Charter School and graduated from Dixie High School in 2019. He will be best remembered for the selfless and unconditional way that he loved everyone he came in contact with. He was a Physical Education teacher at Belton Preparatory Academy where he brought energy and enthusiasm to the classroom every day.  Outside of his teaching career, Alex had many hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing.
