Mavis Campbell Moss

Mavis Campbell Moss, 85, of Calhoun Falls, SC, wife of Ronald E. Moss, Sr., died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Ashley Square in Greenwood, SC.   She was born in Calhoun Falls to the late Chipley C. Campbell and Helen Scott Campbell.

After graduating from Calhoun Falls High School in 1956, Mrs. Moss served as a payroll clerk at Burlington Mills for many years.  She will be remembered for her gentle nature and humility.  Mrs. Moss leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.  She was a devoted member of Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church and the Stark Cann Sunday School class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Kay Moss.

Mrs. Moss is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ronald, of the home; a daughter, Joni McCaslan (Mackey) of Abbeville; two sons, Ron E. Moss, Jr. (Sherri) and Chipley Craig Moss (Tina), all of Calhoun Falls; a sister, Wilma C. Uldrick (Owen) of Abbeville; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 11:00AM, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church, 329 Jackson Street, Calhoun Falls, SC.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Dr. Frank D. McCoy, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
