Matetrell Lee Hopper Hollingsworth, Jr.

Mrs. Henry G. Hollingsworth, Jr. (Matetrell Lee Hopper), 90, resident of 222 Main St. wife of Dr. Henry Grady Hollingsworth, Jr. passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday April 30, 2016.

Born in Chester, SC Nov. 23, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Edwin Hopper and Pearl Simms Hopper.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was a former teacher, mother and homemaker. She was a devoted member of Due West ARP Church. She was an accomplished Equestrian rider and jumper. She was also in the Bridge Club and Garden Clubs. She worked with The Boys Home of the South for a number of years.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 72 years Dr. Henry G. Hollingsworth, Jr. of the home; a niece LeRoyes Sullivan and two nephews Rev. Lee Ferguson and Phillip Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by a son Robert Lee Hollingsworth.
