Mary Minerva Wakefield, 89, resident of Ellenburg Nursing Home died Wednesday Nov. 14, 2007 at Ellenburg Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.
Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Ezekiel Norris and Laura Lee Bowen Wakefield.
Mary was a retired federal employee of the U.S. Agricultural Dept. in Washington, DC. Upon retirement she returned to SC where she made her home until her death.
Survivors include sister-in-law Mary McAdams Wakefield of Due West, SC; nephew Samuel Wakefield and his wife Linda of Savannah Lakes in McCormick, SC; 2 great-nephews Richard and Norris Wakefield.
Funeral plans are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.
