Mary Elizabeth Cromer Hudson

Mary Elizabeth Cromer Hudson, 100, resident of Thomson Circle, entered into rest Sunday April 14,  2024 at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born on April 11, 1924 in Abbeville to the late Charles Gary and Eula Brown Evans, she grew up and lived most of her life in Abbeville, she lived a short time in Oregon as well as Australia. Mary was twice married, first the late W.D. Cromer. They served Abbeville as barbers at Cromer Barber Shop. In her later years she married Greg Hudson.

Mary was a hardheaded, strong willed woman that worked hard for what she wanted in life, she was an amazing artist.

A member of the World Wide Church of God, she read her Bible daily and enjoyed studying God’s Word.

Surviving are her children, Claude Cromer, Ronnie McGinnis, and Terry Cromer; numerous grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday April 18, 2024 at Long Cane Cemetery with Rev. Roger Burden officiating. The family will receive friends at 2:30 PM at Missionary Movement Church.
