Marvin 'Buddy' Hershberger

Marvin “Buddy” Hershberger, 65, of the Level Land Community, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 25, 1960, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Anna Elizabeth Yoder Hershberger. 

Buddy was known for his enjoyment of simple pleasures, including mowing the lawn, driving his Kubota and golf cart, enjoyed music and spending time holding his Bible. He cherished taking rides around the community with his sisters and was well-loved for his playful spirit with everyone he met. He attended Whispering Pines Mennonite Church and also Shiloh Mennonite Church. Buddy will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Merle, Paul, and Ray Hershberger; a sister-in-law, Betty Hershberger; and a nephew, Christopher Hershberger. Buddy is survived by his two sisters, Dorothy Hershberger and his twin sister, Martha Hershberger; a brother, Henry ‘Junior’ Hershberger (Barbara); two sisters-in-law, Grace Hershberger and Anna Mae Hershberger; four nephews, Jacob (Amy) Hershberger, Chad (Angela) Hershberger, Jason (Sharlyn) Hershberger and Nate (Briana) Hershberger; six nieces, Paula (Rod) Eby, Diana (Lyle) Wingard, Elizabeth (AJ) Tredway, Jolene (Brent) Kennell, Wanda (Randell) Yoder and Myra (Dale) Miller; a host of great nieces and great nephews; and one great, great nephew.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Whispering Pines Mennonite Church, 7085 Hwy 20 Honea Path. Funeral services will be 10:00AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, also at Whispering Pines. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home.
