Marie Cain Carroll

Marie Cain Carroll, 81, of Abbeville, wife of the late Kenneth Carroll, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Carlyle Senior Care of Aiken. She was born in Calhoun Falls, SC to the late Julian C. and Omalee Atkins Cain.

Mrs. Carroll graduated from Calhoun Falls High School in 1959, laying the foundation for a life rooted in dedication and compassion. She dedicated her life to her family, finding joy in creating a warm and welcoming home. Mrs. Carroll possessed a unique ability to make everyone feel loved and cared for, leaving a lasting impact on all those who crossed her path. She was a devoted member of West Side Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by her son, Ken D. Carroll, Jr. (Tammy) of Abbeville, SC ; a daughter, Dana Gore (Butch) of Martinez, GA; a sister, Vickie Spires (Danny Ray) of Lowndesville, two grandchildren, Tyler Carroll and Jessica Ellis Manley; two great-grandchildren, Clayton and Cooper Manley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM Monday, September 4, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 3:30PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Vickie and Danny Ray Spires.
