Lorie Ann "Lane" Lewis

October 25, 1965 — July 11, 2020

Lorie Ann Lane Lewis, 54, of McCormick, wife of Richard Lewis, III, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Union County to Larry Alvin Lane, Sr. and Carolyn Proctor Lane.

A 1983 graduate of Midland Valley High School, Lorie attended Aiken Technical College. She was previously employed with Aiken Hospital. Lorie’s artistic talents were evident in her paintings and various arts and crafts projects. Her creativity was also apparent in her store, The Crafty Peacock, that she owned and operated in McCormick. Family was most important to Lorie and her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She also extended devotion and affection to her ‘fur babies’.

Lorie was preceded in death by her brother, Larry A. Lane, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Richard, of the home; her father, Larry, of Union; her mother, Carolyn, of Prosperity; two sons, Joshua Glisson (Kaitlyn) of Edgefield and Christopher Glisson of North Augusta; two step-sons, Richard Lewis, IV (Jennifer) of Edgefield and Matthew Lewis (Nicole) of McCormick; a sister, Mary Lane Sherfield (Milo) of Prosperity; six grandchildren, Bella, Joad, Gabi, Emma, Natalie, and Makenzie; two nieces, Cassie and Angie; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

All services will be private.
