Lois V Fortescue

Lois V. Fortescue, 65, of Greenwood, formerly of Abbeville, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Abbeville to the late William ‘Bill’ Andrew Fortescue and Thelma Lee Ervin Fortescue.

A 1978 graduate of Abbeville High School, Lois dedicated many years to her work at Hardees, Pizza Hut and Flexible Technologies. Her greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved deeply. She was a member of Abbeville Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Fortescue.

Lois is survived by her sister, MaryAnn Rushton of Greenwood; two nieces, Nicole Hohoenwarter (Trent) of Sumter, SC and Haley Mariel Rogers (Mike) of Gloucestershire, England; and two great-nieces, Caiden Rain Train and Marley Olivia Hohoenwarter.

A family graveside will be planned for a later date.
