Lettie South Thompson

Lettie South Thompson, 87, of 35 Thompson Road died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in McCormick, she was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Abbeville ARP Church.

Surviving are daughter, Betty T. Dansbey of Abbeville; son, Robert "Bobby" Thompson of Round-O; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Homer Thompson and the daughter of the late Robert Ford and Olia Christian South.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Monday in Melrose Cemetery with Dr. Randall Ruble and the Rev. James Long officiating. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday at the home of Mrs. Thompson, 35 Thompson Road.
