Laurie Olivia "Creswell" Cowan

Laurie Cowan, 53, wife of Ronnie Cowan, of Abbeville, SC died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Abbeville to Margaret Martin Creswell Mulholland and the late James Oliver Creswell, Sr.

Laurie was a graduate of Westside Christian School and earned an Associate Degree in Business from Piedmont Technical College.  She brought much joy to her family and many friends with her vibrant smile and effervescent personality.  Animals, especially horses and cats, brought her much pleasure.  Laurie was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Creswell.

Laurie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ronnie, of the home; her daughter, Anna Brooks Cowan, of Abbeville; her mother, Margaret Martin Creswell Mulholland, of Abbeville; her brothers, Windy Creswell (Judith), Jonye Creswell (Nancy), Ronald Creswell (Darlene), all of Abbeville, and Marty Creswell (Vivian) of Greenwood.

A Service to Celebrate Laurie’s Life will be 4:00PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Laurie, may be sent to Big Oaks Rescue Farm, 2305 Kate Way, Greenwood, SC 29646.
