Laura Purser Busbee

Laura Purser Busbee, 65, of Abbeville, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Hospice of Laurens County in Clinton. She was born October 15, 1960 in Abbeville to the late Mike Purser and Peggy Hawkins Purser.

Laura was employed with the former Milliken & Company – Sharon Plant (now Sage Automotive Interiors) for many years. One her greatest joys was her role as a loving grandmother. She cherished her family deeply, and found companionship with her beloved fur baby CoCo. Laura was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Abbeville. She will be fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Laura is survived by her children, Jonah Busbee and Jolee Beth Busbee; sisters, Kerry P. Wilson of Columbia and Carol Purser of West Columbia; three grandchildren, Jase Hall, Zola Busbee, and Brodie Lee Busbee; father of her children, Lee Busbee; and beloved fur baby, CoCo Busbee.

Honoring Laura’s wishes, there will be no services held.
