Larry "Doug" Douglas Vaughn

Larry Douglas "Doug" Vaughn, 42, of 308 Ferry St. died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a self-employed floor-covering contractor and was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Surviving are stepfather and mother, Luther and Janie Bratcher Turnage of the home; and brothers, Michael Vaughn and Allen Turnage, both of Abbeville.

He was the son of the late Harold Edward Vaughn and was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Blackburn; and two brothers, Tony and Phil Vaughn.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Greenville Memorials Gardens by the Rev. Robbie Burton; burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
