Lanny Dale Simmons

Lanny Dale Simmons, 66, of 572 Calhoun Road, husband of Nancy Prince Simmons, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at his home.
Born in Tampa, Fla., he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Ruth Elizabeth Gilbert Simmons. He was a retired fireman with The City of Tampa Fire Department and a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Rodney Simmons of Alabama and Gary Simmons of Tampa; two daughters, Ruth Ann Caudra and Faye Lynn Rotella, both of Tampa; a step-son, Dwayne Rautmann Jr. of Tampa; and eight grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, is in charge.
