Kenneth A. Wood

Kenneth A. Wood, 81, of Donalds, husband of Martha McBride Wood, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hart County, GA to the late Asberry Washington Wood and Martha Sailors Wood. Kenneth worshipped at Harris Baptist Church in Greenwood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Wood, Claude Wood, and Alton Wood; and two sisters, Louise Vickery and Annie Bell Garner.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha, of the home; son, Russell (Tracy) Wood of Donalds; daughter, Jeanette Baylor of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Trent and Caleb Wood, Steward, Jordan and Grant Baylor and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 2:00PM – 3:00PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, 302 N. Main Street, Abbeville. A service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will begin at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Frank Thomas officiating.
