Kenneth F. 'Tiny' Bearden

Kenneth F. ‘Tiny’ Bearden, 61, of Troy, SC went to heaven on Friday, October 10, 2025, with his wife Cheryl and his family at his home after declining health from Parkinson and dementia.

Tiny was a proud graduate of Greenwood High School, Class of 1982. His professional journey was marked by commitment and service at the Durst Plant, followed by an enriching 30-year career as a paramedic with Abbeville and Greenwood EMS. Beyond his professional endeavors, he dedicated time to his community, volunteering with the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department.

Tiny was known as an avid outdoorsman who took great joy in hunting and fishing, relishing the moments spent with his sons and friends, cherishing the bonds he built until health constraints made these activities difficult.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Shirley Clem Motte and ‘Preacher’ Motte.

Tiny is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, with whom he shared 13 wonderful years; his three sons, Justin Bearden (English), Joshua Bearden (Krystal), and Jordan Lee Bearden; three grandsons, Wylder, Sawyer, and Colter Bearden; as well as a granddaughter and twin grandsons expected in the coming months. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Nanci Bearden Dixon (Barry); his aunt, Brenda Lindley; cousins, Darren Clem, Chris Clem, Tracy Briggs, and John Lindley; and three sisters-in-law, Alice Brock, Jane Moody, and Carolyn Lowe (Luther).

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to7:00PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 302 North Main St. Abbeville, SC. Graveside services will be 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the Troy Cemetery, 101 Cemetery Street., Troy, SC 29848 with Rev. John Paul Marr officiating.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, along with numerous friends and family members, for their unwavering love and support over the past three months.
