June "Hembree" Hunsucker

October 14, 1943 — July 11, 2019

June Inze Hembree Hunsucker, 75, wife of Ervin M. Hunsucker, died July 11, 2019. She was born October 14, 1943 in Calhoun Falls, SC to the late Arthur H. and Vester P. Hembree. Reared in Calhoun Falls, June graduated from Calhoun Falls High School, class of 1961.

She was buried in Dale Cemetery, July 13, 2019, in Dale, OK. Upholding the promise he made to his wife of nearly 58 years, Ervin had June disinterred January 14, 2020 and transported her to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton. Arriving at the cemetery January 16, 2020, June was buried beside her parents and brother, D. Hembree.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. June is the last surviving child in her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin; two sons, Gregory Hunsucker of Tupelo, MS and Timothy Hunsucker of Zumbrota, MN; a daughter, Peggy Darlene Woodruff of Carrolton, TX; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews from the Hembree, Payne and Hunsucker families located throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Indiana and Oklahoma.
