John Aubrey Smitherman

John Aubrey Smitherman, 65, resident of 207 North Hendricks Lane, Easley, SC husband of Joanne Bundrick Smitherman went to be with his Lord Saturday July 20, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with heart disease after passing at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

Born in Clinton, SC he was a son of the late John Aubrey Smitherman, Sr. and Carol Bryson Landford.

Aubrey was a retired District Manager with United Insurance Company of America after a successful career. After his retirement he owned and operated several different businesses. He attended the Presbyterian Church, PCA.

Survivors include: His beloved wife of 44 years Joanne Bundrick Smitherman of the home; two sons Rushton Smitherman (Aleisha) of Taylors, SC and Ryan Smitherman (Tasha) of Travelers Rest, SC; a half sister Deb Dawkins-Bailey of Clinton, SC; five grandchildren Britton, Aubrey, Grayson, Ansley and Scout Smitherman.

A Celebration of Aubrey’s life will be conducted Saturday July 27, 2019 with Masonic Rites beginning at 6:00 PM at Shrine Hall, 200 Ranch Rd. West, Greenville, SC with the Celebration of his life to follow.
