Jerry Addison

Jerry Addison, 88, of Calhoun Falls, S.C., beloved husband of the late Mary Hill ‘Lib’ Addison, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at Dominion Senior Living of Anderson surrounded by his two daughters. Born in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of the late William Homer and Dolly Shaw Addison.

Mr. Addison dedicated over 40 years of his life to Rocky River Mills, embodying the values of hard work and commitment. His sense of duty extended beyond his profession as he proudly served in the United States Navy, a testament to his character and dedication to his country.

Music was the thread that wove through the fabric of Jerry’s life. From his early childhood through the years of adulthood, he found profound joy in the melodies of country and gospel music. Whether strumming his guitar, attending the Grand Ole Opry, or crafting tapes for his family, Jerry’s love for music brought light and happiness to those around him.

In celebrating the life of Jerry Addison, we remember a man of integrity, passion, and unwavering love for his family and music. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to her parents, and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Forrest Addison, Connie Addison, Retha Brown, Willie Grace Lawton, Joyce Powell and his twin sister, Jean Lewis Hudson.

Mr. Addison is survived by his two daughters, Jean Perkins (Rev. Derwood Perkins) of Columbus, OH and Denise Addison (Cheryl Basel) of East Bridgewater, MA; two granddaughters, Lauren Henderson (Rev. Danny Henderson) of Santee, CA and Rev. Kayla Beck (Robbie) of Monroe, GA; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Audrey Henderson, Andy and River Beck.

The family will receive friends 11:00AM - 12:00Noon, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 12:00Noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Derwood Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
