Jeff Stone

Jeff Stone, 50, of Abbeville, husband of Heather Norryce Stone, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Abbeville Nursing Home.  He was born in Greenwood to Andy Stone and the late Sheila Bobo Stone.

Jeff graduated from Abbeville High School in 1991 pursuing a career as an engineer with the CSX Railroad.  His career was a vital part of his life and he made many great friends along the way.  Jeff loved spending quality time with his wife and children and cherished the moments spent with them. He also had a passion for baseball.  Jeff will always occupy a special place in the hearts of his many friends and family.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Pauline Stone; maternal grandparents, James and Beatrice Bobo and a cousin, Jack Bobo.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Heather, and his children, Luke and Lydia Stone all of the home; father, Andy Stone (Judy); sister, Andrea Taylor; mother and father-in-law, Dian and Larry Norryce; sister and brother-in-law, M.J. and John Biggerstaff all of Abbeville; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be 2:00PM, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel with Pastor Joshua Chiles officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to Dr. Keith Scott and the employees of HomeBridge Hospice, Abbeville Nursing Home and Abbeville Area Medical Center for their exceptional care of Jeff.
