Jeff Mckellar

Jeff McKellar, 53, of Elberton, GA, husband of Regina McCall McKellar, died suddenly Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elberton to Wanda Bonds McKellar and the late Howard ‘Buddy’ McKellar.

Many happy hours were spent golfing at the Rocky Branch Golf Course, where he was a former member. Jeff also enjoyed fishing and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs to victory. Most importantly, time spent with family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored, was the essence of his life.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 31 years, Regina; a daughter, Hali McKellar McConnell of Elberton; a son, Tyler McKellar (Corbin) of Bowman; his mother, Wanda, of Lowndesville; two brothers, Scotty Bonds (Shannon) of Greenwood and Bojo McKellar of Lowndesville; two sisters, Missy Blackmon of Calhoun Falls and LaFayette McKellar of Lowndesville; five very special grandchildren, Mylah Brooke McConnell, Brylen Kade McConnell, Raelan Nicole McConnell, Karsyn Irene McKellar and Kolton Groves McKellar.

Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, April 25, 2020 between the hours of 9:00AM – 4:00PM at Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah St., Calhoun Falls, SC 29628. Graveside services to celebrate Jeff’s life will be 2:00PM, Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Latimer/Old Salem Cemetery with Rev. Scotty Willoughby and Rev. Wayne Tyler officiating.  Serving as Pallbearers will be Levi Blackmon, Skyler Elgin, Bo McKellar, Nathan Bonds, Jason Bonds, Colby McCall, Anthony Hoskins and Scott Bonds.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Bell, Everett Worley, Billy Churchey, Lee Gary and Scott Porter.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Hali McConnell.
