Jayce Alexander Blackwell

Jayce Alexander Blackwell, 21, of Kingsport, TN, died Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born in Spartanburg, SC to Jennifer Michelle Blackwell.

Jayce attended Abbeville County Schools and worked with Hobby Electric, LLC. He was a passionate musician, who enjoyed playing the piano and keyboard. His musical talents were matched only by his love for spending time with friends, creating lasting memories. Jayce will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He attended Grace Community Church.

Jayce was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Theron Blackwell.

He is survived by his mother, Jennifer (fiancee’ - Josh Holcombe), of Abbeville, SC; sister, Jaylynn Alexia Latham (Justin) of Mississippi; nephew and niece, Jameson Paul and Jolene Blair Latham; grandparents, Jamie Hobby and David Hobby of Abbeville, SC; great-grandfather, John Alexander Blackwell, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; great uncle and aunt, Ronnie and Lori Blackwell; uncle, Kade Gregory; two great-uncles, Phil Holmes and Joey Holmes; best friend, Seth Spears of Kingsport, TN; and his beloved dog, Darryl.

The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 11:00AM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rod Schultz officiating. A private family burial will follow in Hobby Hill Cemetery.
