Janalene "Jan Graham" Burriss

Janalene “Jan” Graham Burriss, 77, wife of the late Jimmy D. Burriss, of Abbeville, SC died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home. She was born in Abbeville to the late Frank Benjamin Graham and Mary Martin Graham.

Mrs. Burriss was a 1959 graduate of Abbeville High School. She was a longtime employee of Abbeville Shirt Makers. As an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church, Mrs. Burriss faithfully served on various committees. She cherished her family and was a beloved mother and MawMaw. Hours spent with her grandchildren were treasured.

In addition to her husband of 57 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Graham and a sister, Dorothy Ruth Graham.

Mrs. Burriss is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Davis (Steve) and Wanda Pullin (George); a brother, Mike Graham (Vickie); two sisters, Barbara Allen (Roger) and Juanita Parnell (Franklin); a sister-in-law, Brenda Graham, all of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Stephanie Davis Stanley (Cliff), Rebecca Pullin Aldridge (Aaron), Brooke Davis McCaslan (Will) and Meri Pullin Stewart (Robert); four great-grandchildren, Davis, Mac, Gentry and Annsleigh; especially caring nieces and nephews, Angelia Graham Bell, Crystal Beauford (Greg), Dale Allen (Jill), Kevin Allen and other nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Sharon United Methodist Church, 246 Sharon Church Rd., Abbeville with the Rev. Dan Fortney and Rev. Eric Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
