Jamie Leigh O'Neal Belcher

Jamie Leigh O’Neal Belcher, 63, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. She was a beloved wife to Charles Belcher, Jr., and was born in Narrows, Virginia to Cary Leigh Harris O’Neal and the late James B. O’Neal.

Jamie was a proud graduate of Abbeville High School in 1980, followed by Lander University in 1983. She enjoyed the many years she was able to spend teaching elementary students in Woodruff, McCormick, and Abbeville schools. More than anything, Jamie cherished times spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Lydia Anne Skinner.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Anna Leigh Skinner and her husband, Rev. Jared Skinner of Plainfield, Indiana, Katelyn Paisley Campisi and her husband, Patrick of Pelham, Alabama, Sarah Elizabeth Williams of Spartanburg, South Carolina, nine grandchildren, Andrew Fuller Skinner, Joel Adams Skinner, John Wilton Skinner, Samuel Pearce Skinner, Elizabeth Grace Skinner, Abigail Jane Skinner, Luke Patrick Campisi, Margaret Paisley Campisi, and Mary Frances Campisi, her mother, Cary Leigh O’Neal of Greenwood, South Carolina, one brother, Clifton M. O’Neal of Chicago, Illinois, and two sisters, Janet O. Dickson and her husband Chris of Aiken, South Carolina, and Wendy O. Sargent and her husband Max of Greenwood, South Carolina.

A private family memorial service to celebrate Jamie's life was held on September 18, 2025, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Abbeville, South Carolina.
