James "Pete" Palmer Anderson, 82, of 766 Old Hodges Road died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Abbeville Nursing Home.
Born in Easley, he was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was the owner and operator of Anderson Plumbing Co., from which he retired. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Alice Brown Anderson of the home; sisters, Eloise Dew of Anderson, Frances Aiken of Easley and Drucella Linn of Greenville; stepdaughters, Rita Gable and Kathy Greer, both of Abbeville; stepson, George Hall of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Joe B. and Allie Mae Bell Anderson.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, by the Rev. Julian Ford; burial will be at 4 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. before services.
The family suggests memorials be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1007 Cambridge St., Abbeville, S.C. 29620.
