James Alexander

James Benie Alexander, 72, husband of Susan Meskimen Alexander, resident of Oakridge Place, entered into rest April 18, 2024 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 4, 1951 in Johnson City TN to the late Clyde Ernest and Betty Irene White Alexander, he was a retired TAC Officer from the United States Army as well as the Tennessee Army National Guard.

He was of the Baptist faith, an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving other than his loving wife of the home, are his children, Charles Lee Alexander (Christie) and Andy Clyde Alexander all of Dunnellon, FL, Patrick Lee Hamilton (Kasey) of Nashville, TN, and Kelly Brooke Hamilton of Greenwood; his brother, Clyde Alexander (Janet) of Greenwood; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Preston Alexander.

There will be a private celebration of life service conducted at a later date.
