Helen Olivia Harrison

Helen Olivia Harrison, 76, of Johns Creek, Ga. passed away on August 25, 2026 at Northside Forsyth Hospital. She was born on Nov. 23, 1949 in Greenwood, S.C., a daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Watkins Harrison.

Helen graduated from Greenwood High School, class of 1968, and earned her B.A. in History from Queens College, class of 1972, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and served as President of the Panhellenic Council. Following graduation, she embarked on a 40-year career in banking and financial services throughout the southeast.

Helen was a kind-hearted, gentle spirit who always saw the best in others. She loved and was very devoted to her family and many friends and she was dearly loved in return. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lewis Harrison, Jr.

She is survived by her sisters, Jane Harrison Keperling (Bob) of Anderson, S.C. and Margaret Harrison Neely (Michael) of Gastonia, N.C., eight nieces and nephews, special friend, Ed Welch, and many cherished friends and extended family members.

The family wishes to especially thank Martha Lewis who graciously and generously assisted Helen during her illness.

Graveside services will be held on September 13, 2026 at 2:00PM in Long Cane Cemetery, 329 Hwy 20, Abbeville, S.C.
