Hazel Wells Fisher

Hazel Wells Fisher, 79, of Pelzer, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Coy and Eliza Hall Wells.

Hazel was a woman of strength and grace, graduating from Abbeville High School in 1962. She cherished moments spent with her family and friends, finding immense joy in their company. Hazel had a passion for music, enjoying both listening to it and lending her voice to choirs. Her faith was an integral part of her life as a member of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her brother Dale Wells, sister Evelyn Wells Townsend, and former husband Jim Fisher. 

Hazel is survived by her loving husband of seven years, Mike Greaver of Pelzer, SC; her children: Greg Tucker (Buffy) of Spartanburg, SC, Susie Tucker Brewer (Jason) of Nashville, TN, Diana Fisher Sheriff (Bryan) of Duncan, SC, Ali Fisher of Moore, SC, Aaron Greaver (Amanda) of Dacula, GA and Ashley Chapman (Tom) of Suwanee, GA; two sisters: Barbara Wells Spires and Gail Wells Uldrick of Abbeville, SC; as well as ten adoring grandchildren; Henry, Jordan, Payne, Jack, Sam, Fisher, Rhett, Aiden, Colby, and Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, June 14th at Harris Funeral Home, 302 North Main St., Abbeville, SC. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Don Cox officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Abbeville First Baptist Church Christian Life Center located at 111 Ellis St., Abbeville, SC.  Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions honoring Hazel be sent to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund, 1012 Concord Road Anderson, SC 29621.
