Hazel Williams Campbell, 89, of Due West, wife of the late William Harold Campbell, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born in Anderson County to the late Ethel James and Mary Mae Burton Williams, one of more than a dozen children.
Mrs. Campbell retired from Huggins Garment Company after over 30 years of service. She enjoyed cleaning, gardening, and cooking. Lovingly known as Momo to her grandchildren, she took great joy in caring for all her family. Mrs. Campbell was an active and dedicated member of Due West Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patsy C. Raley, of Lincolnton, GA and Carolyn C. Nickles (Jerry) of Due West; Shelby and Kenneth Williams, both of whom were reared in the home; five grandchildren, Stacy, Bridgette, Cason, Travis and Brad; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Due West Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Bannister officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be strictly observed and masks are encouraged. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Due West Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials, in memory of Mrs. Campbell, are sent to Due West Baptist Church, PO Box 247, Due West, SC 29639.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the kindness and care shown by Dr. Chris Oxendine and the staff of the ICU at Abbeville Area Medical Center.
