Harold A. Hunter

Harold A. Hunter, 65, of Abbeville, SC, husband of Angela Young Hunter, died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at his home. He was born in Anderson, SC to the late Edgar T. Hunter and Elaine Henderson Hunter.

Harold or ‘Macky’, as some affectionately knew him, was a proud graduate of Pendleton High School. He devoted a significant part of his career to his work as a manager with UPS, where he dedicated 25 years of service. Harold enjoyed the art of woodworking. His craftsmanship was a hobby that brought him fulfillment and peace. He was an avid Clemson fan. Harold was of the Methodist faith. He leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother, Richard K. Hunter and sister, Tracy Richards.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Angela, of the home; his step-daughter, Brittney Patterson (Jayla) of Ft. Worth, TX; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Richards; a sister-in-law, Alice Hunter; and his beloved dog, BoBo.

Honoring Mr. Hunter’s request, there will be no services.
